CATEGORIES/TERRAIN/TIME LIMIT
To qualify to be a HARDCORE Finisher, participants must complete the predetermined route in 1 go within the following elapsed time* shown in the table blow:
*Elapsed time refers to the time taken from the Start of the activity until the time you Finish, including ALL rests/pauses/meals during the activity.

PRIZES
The top 3 fastest Females & Males of each distance will each win prizes from the sponsor.  The finish time will be based on the ELAPSED TIME taken to complete the full predetermined course. 

The list of prizes will be published once it's confirmed.

HALL of FAME/HARDCORE Level
Participants who complete the predetermined route correctly in 1 go within the elapsed timing shown in the table below will attain the respective HARDCORE Level & be inducted into the HARDCORE Hall of Fame.

**Bukit Timah Hill Summit area route direction**(Updated on 1 May 2022)

All participants need to do the route to the Bukit Timah Hill Summit area in an anti-clockwise direction as shown in the above map.  Participants will need to do a U-Turn after climbing up to the end of the Jungle Fall Path steep stairs/outside the Jungle Fall Hut then go back down the steep stairs back to the Main Road.

NOTE:
- The route includes some sections in the trail, such as MacRitchie Reservoir, Bukit Timah Hill, Dairy Farm, Chestnut Nature Park, Gangsa Trail, Earth Trail etc.

- There are overhead bridges along the route which participants are to use. Please refer to the Google Map shown above.

- Participants can start at any point along the route.  If you wish to change the start point/route direction to a different one from the original gpx file(s) above, you may do so via https://www.mygpsfiles.com/app/ (Click HERE to view the guide prepared by Oliver Sleafer)

- 15km & 31km participants MUST do the route in a CLOCKWISE direction, except for the loop at Bukit Timah Hill Summit area, where participants need to do it in an anti-clockwise direction.  Please refer to the above map showing the Bukit Timah Hill Summit loop area.

- 57km & 103km participants can do the route in ANY direction, except for the loop at Bukit Timah Hill Summit area, where participants need to do it in an anti-clockwise direction.  Please refer to the above map showing the Bukit Timah Hill Summit loop area.

- Participants can make a detour to other locations outside of the route, but must return to the point they departed from the predetermined route & resume from there.

- On the activity day, you may need to make adjustments if you encounter any obstacle/obstruction which doesn't allow you to follow the predetermined route, such as construction/road work/road closure.  In such situations, you can make the necessary diversions to skirt around the obstacle/obstruction before getting back onto the original route to continue.  Please take a photo of the obstacle/obstruction as evidence and inform Ben.

DO NOT USE paths/routes that are designated for Mountain Bikes only, such as in Chestnut Nature Park.  You will be disqualified if you use those paths/routes.

Please study/analyse the route and/or ensure you are able to view the route map on your device BEFORE you start.  We highly recommend doing a recce of the route, especially at parts which you are not familiar with.  If you have never tested out the navigation features on your watch/phone/etc before, please try it out well in advance BEFORE your activity.

Time Restriction
*Please refrain from entering and/or remaining inside the trails (MacRitchie Reservoir, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, Chestnut Nature Park, Gangsa Trail) between 7pm to 7am as the trails are officially closed to the public during 7pm to 7am.   You risk getting fined by the authorities if you are in the trail within 7pm to 7am.  Hence, please plan your time/schedule accordingly.

Support/Aid
*Participants are to be self-sufficient with fluid/food/first aid kit/etc.

*Water coolers/Toilets are located at the following areas in the trail/nature reserve/park area:
- MacRitchie Reservoir Amenities Centre (57km & 103km route only)
- Ranger Station at MacRitchie Reservoir (57km & 103km route only)
- Bukit Timah Hill Visitor Centre (all categories)
- Dairy Farm Car Park 'B' (all categories)
- Chestnut Nature Park car park, off Chestnut Ave (31km, 57km & 103km route only)
- Kent Ridge Park (103km route only)
- Telok Blangah Hill Park (103km route only)
- Mount Faber Loop (103km route only)
- Mount Faber Road water cooler (near exit of Marang Trail) (103km route only)
NOTE: 31km/57km/103km participants, please note there is no water/food facility along a 12.5km section between Dairy Farm Nature Park Car Park B (off Dairy Farm Road) towards Mandai Road & to Chestnut Nature Park Car Park.  Hence please ensure you have sufficient hydration/food to last that 12.5km stretch.  

*All categories will pass by the following locations where participants can purchase food & drinks:
- Rail Mall (Cold Storage 24hr & eateries) 
- Shell station outside Bukit Batok Nature Park (24hr) 

*The 103km route has several locations along the way where participants can purchase food/drinks, such as:
- Dover MRT (7-Eleven 8am till 8pm)
- Fairprice at Dover Road (7am-11pm)
- Minimart beside Pepys Road
- Shell station Telok Blangah Road (24hr)
- 7-Eleven Morse Road (24hr)
- Depot Heights shopping centre (beside Depot Road)
- Cold Storage Jelita Holland Road (24hr)
- 7-Eleven at Bukit Timah Rd beside Old Holland Road (24hr)
- Esso station & Shell station Dunearn Rd beside Eng Neo Ave (24hr) 

Participant/Finisher Entitlements
(A) A Finisher Tee (quick dry & light fabric) for Finishers
(B) A Finisher Medal (large sized) for Finishers
(C) Items from the sponsors (to self-collect/redeem in person)
(D) An E-Bib number tag
(E) An E-Certificate for Finishers
NOTE: Participants can opt out of the Tee & Medal.  The cost will then be donated to charity.

Eligible Activities

NOTE:
- Manual entries of activities & activities without route maps are not eligible.
- Use of any mode of transport/device/bicycle/etc are not permitted.

Tracking/Verification of Activities

*Strava (https://www.strava.com/) will be used as the primary means of verification of participants' activities.

- For those who do not have a Strava account, this is a free-to-join app which you can use it to record your activities OR sync with your activity tracking devices such as Garmin, Coros, Suunto, etc.

*In the registration form, you'll need to input your Strava Athlete Name & the URL link to your Strava profile (for example, the URL link to Ben Swee's Strava account is: https://www.strava.com/athletes/15096947). If you are unable to locate the URL link to your Strava profile, please 'follow' Ben Swee (Click HERE) & he will 'follow' you.
NOTE: If you're already following Ben Swee in his Strava, you can leave the URL field empty.  

*Please allow Ben Swee to 'follow' your Strava account and set your privacy settings to allow 'Followers' to view your activities so he can verify your activities.

*Activities will be randomly verified.  Activities, such as those with unbelievable pace/distance, no route map, will not be counted.

NOTE: For your convenience, you do not need to manually submit your activities/screenshots of your activities for verification.  Just inform Ben after you have completed and Ben will verify your activities via your Strava account.

Finish
*Please inform Ben (via WhatsApp/SMS or Email) after you have completed so he can verify your activities & send the e-certificate to you within approximately 48 hours.

Shipping of Items
*Shipping of the Finisher items is free of charge for Singapore addresses.  

*As the event ends on 5 June 2022 & we will only order the event items after that, the items are targeted to be shipped out by end of July 2022.

NOTE: If the shipping address you provided is wrong, we will not resend any replacement items and there will not be any refund of any amount.  Hence, please ensure you input the correct shipping address, postal code, email address and contact number in the registration form.

Terms & Conditions
*By registering for the event, you fully agree to participate at your own risk & fully indemnify the organiser, Running Guild & Ben Swee, and its partners/sponsors against any claim(s), not limited to medical/monetary, for any health issue(s), injury, and/or death as a result of your participation.

*Please refrain from entering and/or remaining inside the trails between 7pm to 7am as the trails are officially closed to the public during 7pm to 7am.   You risk getting fined by the authorities if you are in the trail within 7pm to 7am.

*Please abide by the COVID-19 rules & regulations.

*Finisher entitlements will be sent only to Finishers of the event. 

*Exchange of T-Shirt size is subject to availability and shipping costs for the exchange are to be paid by the participant prior to the exchange.  Alternatively, the exchange can be done at the organiser's address.

*After payment of the registration fee, you acknowledge and accept that there will not be any refund to you, be it a partial or full amount. In addition, there will not be any roll over of your entry to another event.  However, you can transfer your registration to another person before the end of the event period by notifying the organiser at runningguild@gmail.com.

Safety
* Please ensure you are in good health before taking part.  We recommend you have a personal health/accident insurance policy.  

*Please take all necessary precautions before, during & after the activity, such as: medication, first aid/anti-blister kit, sufficient rest/sleep. 

*As the route include trail sections, there is a higher risk of sprain/fall due to uneven terrain such as rocks, mud, tree roots, etc.  Please be extra careful.  If you get injured and you require assistance, please ask passers-by to assist or use your mobile phone to call your contacts.  

*Do the activity together with someone if it is possible.  If you're heading out alone, please ensure you inform someone about your route, estimated duration & what time you expect to be back to home.  

*Bring along your mobile phone during the activity as it'll be useful in the event of an emergency.

*Bring a power bank & charging cable(s), if necessary, to charge your mobile phone/watch/etc.

*Hydrate & Fuel well before, during & after the activity.  

*DO NOT approach any animals/insects you encounter.  Do not attempt to feed/touch them.  Stay clear of them.

*Stay alert & beware of danger along the route, e.g. Visitors to the Nature Reserve, vehicles, dangerous animals/insects/plants, etc. 

*Wear bright/reflective apparel/socks/footwear/items so others are aware of your presence.

*Be prepared for severe/bad/hot weather/lightning/strong wind.  You may wish to bring a rain jacket/poncho & change of clothes.

*Have a good recovery after the activity, e.g. recovery drink/meal, massage, foam rolling, stretching.
